StackMob, providers of a cloud-based platform for building, deploying and growing network connected applications, has created a more flexible platform for developers to create feature-rich, network connected apps by integrating HTML5 with its powerful backend service.
With the number of multi-platform network connected devices in use projected to increase and cross more than 15 billion by 2015, the need to integrate HTML5 is becoming more imperative, according to company officials.
"The rapid growth of 'smart' mobile device usage over the last few years has been mind-blowing but this wave is just the beginning. Massive consumer adoption will undoubtedly continue to skyrocket as future categories of network connected devices and the apps running on them begin to emerge within the next few years," said Ty Amell, founder and CEO at StackMob, in a press release.
StackMob also realized that with consumer demand for apps that run on both current and future “smart” and network-connected devices increasing, the task of developing applications has become more complex because of the different requirements and the unique nature of each app as it evolves.
With the integration of HTML5 services to its industry leading backend services, StackMob claims to be well positioned to provide the best cross-platform solution for building and deploying apps and also allow its largest, network connected applications to grow and support increasingly heavier loads.
Ziv Elul, CEO and co-founder at inneractive, commented on the massive adoption of HTML5 by developers round the globe and said, "In speaking to our international customer base, it is clear that there is a serious need that StackMob's Hosted HTML5 platform can now fulfill."
